Project 2: Color and Grids

This project was about editing pictures and turning them into grids that follow color schemes. These grids had to be original and there had to be a grid that showed, warm colors, cool colors and color complement color. There also had to be a monochromatic grid and a photo that was edited in a certain way to invoke a mood or feeling.

Mood Picture: Hiding in the Shadows
Original
Edited
In this mood photo I edited it in a way that made what lied inside the garage hidden in the dark. I made the shadows dark and ominous. In general I tried to edit it in a way that instilled a feeling of unease or wonder to what was inside. I wanted to also make a comment about how we as people have a fear of the unknown. I edited this to also give a mood of uneasiness and curiosity to what is in the shadows.

Here are some photos that I couldn't really put into a category but I like them for ther colors.

Project 2 Prework

Color Wheel:

Mood:
In this photo I feel that the red sunset and the rainbow over the hills really sets a feeling of an upcoming adventure and gives off a feeling of anticipation maybe even a little bit of a relaxed and warm feeling. The photographer uses warm colors such as red-orange to give a feeling of warmth to the photo and the complementary green foliage contrasts with this red-orange and makes it stand out more. The saturation of the colors makes this contrasts even clearer.
